Prayer of a Student
Trinidad L. Tarrosa Subido

To learn, dear Lord, about these emerald leaves,
These tender-petalled blossoms laved in dew
From where they came, and how and why they lived;
Or yet to know why ocean waters lash
Their atomed selves against the granite rocks
That senseless lie along the shores; to know
Why rainbows fling their ribboned souls athwart
The eastern skies when sunrays flick the west;
Why lightning furies rage when storm winds still
The thunder echoes hurtling through the dark;
To learn about the earth, about the moon,
The sun and lesser stars and other worlds
That span the cerculescent firmament;
To learn great facts about the little things
And then while knowing these, not to unlearn-
Never, O god to unlearn the child-learned truth
That thou art in reality the source,
The why, The How, The Wherefore of all things.

An kakuri
By: Brian Burce

An kinabuhi puno hin kakuri
Nasosolbar an iba
Pero damo la gihap an kakuri.

An kakuri diri la harumamy
Baga-bag hin napatay
Ha kasing-kasing ngan panhuna-huna.
Nag-aampo nga masolusyonan
Ini nga mga kakuri
Para ha masunod, diri na bumalik.

Life is a beauty, praise it.
Life is a journey, complete it.
Life is a puzzle,solve it.
Life is a song, sing it.
Life is a mystery, unfold it.
Life is a game, play it.
Life is a mercy, love it
Life is a problem, face it.

A Special World

A special world for you and me
A special bond one cannot see
It wraps us up in its cocoon
And holds us fiercely in its womb.

Its fingers spread like fine spun gold
Gently nestling us to the fold
Like silken thread it holds us fast
Bonds like this are meant to last.

And though at times a thread may break
A new one forms in its wake
To bind us closer and keep us strong
In a special world, where we belong.

hopes all things, endures all things.
